Adult Day Programming

Empowering Every Ability - Discover. Connect. Grow.

At Marshall-Starke Development Center (MSDC), our Day Programming offers adults of all abilities the opportunity to learn, build skills, and connect with their community in meaningful ways.
Whether through volunteering, creative projects, or daily living activities, each day is designed to help individuals reach personal goals and thrive in a supportive environment.

  • A group of people in a casual setting: a man with a plaid shirt and cap pointing at a notebook, a woman with wet hair looking at the table, a man with glasses laughing, and another person in the background. There are mirrors, musical notes, and decorations on the walls.

    Personal Growth

Encouraging self-confidence, communication, and daily living skills.

  • Three men sitting together in a room, smiling with their arms around each other.

    Community Connection

Building relationships through volunteer work and civic engagement.

  • An elderly woman with short dark hair wearing a yellow floral shirt plays a tabletop game with colorful pieces at a table in a room with chairs and various items in the background.

    Creative Expression

Offering art, music, and recreational activities tailored to individual interests.

  • Two women cooking in a kitchen, one adding salt to a pot on the stove, the other observing with a focused expression.

    Life Skills Develpment

Budgeting, cooking, personal care, and other independent living skills.

  • Two people in a forest, one man aiming a blue bow and arrow while another person in a red jacket watches.

    Health & Wellness

Promoting active lifestyles and emotional well-being through structured support.

MSDC Day Programming is built around choice, inclusion, and empowerment. Participants explore new skills, strengthen independence, and form lasting friendships - all while contributing to their community.

Manitou Center (Rochester)

Our community-based program in Rochester blends volunteering, local partnerships, and social skill-building. Participants take part in service projects at local parks, museums, and care centers - creating meaningful connections throughout the county.

Together, these centers reflect our mission: to empower every person, in every community, to live with dignity and purpose.
